Initially, World of Warcraft Developer Yryadorne confirmed that the transmog unlock from the beta was an unintended feature and stated that it was likely a bug during development. Then a few days later, Yryadorne edited his post on the Wow Forum that links to a new blog that confirmed World of Warcraft would eventually turn this apparent bug into a feature, along with the ability to freely unlock class-restricted gear transmogs, such as tier sets from Legacy Raids. These changes are expected to arrive in patch 11.0.5, a few months after The war within Publications.
Improvements to transmog unlocking are coming to WoW: The War Within
- Class-restricted equipment, such as legacy tier sets in World of Warcraftcan be learned by any character.
- The appearance of all equipment available as quest rewards is learned, regardless of whether the class can see or select it.

Previously, characters could only unlock quest rewards for any items they could equip, regardless of which item they chose as a reward. Since there are four types of armor in the game – cloth, leather, chain, and plate – fans had to complete almost every quest in World of Warcraft four times to get all the transmogs. With this change, players will only have to do this once – and they won’t have to go back and repeat quest lines they’ve already completed to get their appearances.
Needless to say, fans are overjoyed World of Warcraft make this change. Transmog collection is a big part of the game for many players, and many of them were disappointed to learn that Blizzard had seemingly removed this great feature for a short time. The fact that World of Warcraft Listening to fan feedback and making this change is ultimately a huge win for players and developers alike.
