CULLMAN, Alabama – The United Way of Cullman County recently released an updated list of food sources in the area. With the proliferation of Little Free Pantries throughout the county, help for those in need is usually never more than a few miles away.
Cullman County is currently home to more than 25 food distribution sites. Larger food assistance organizations such as Cullman Caring for Kids and The Pantry at The Link, as well as the many church-based programs, operate on a volunteer basis to help neighbors in need select food. Cullman’s free small food distribution sites are stocked and used by individuals in the area, with self-access to food and resources.
“United Way of Cullman County is excited to share our updated list of Little Food Pantries and local food banks with some of our partner organizations such as Cullman Caring for Kids, The Link of Cullman County and Wallace State Cares Lion’s Kitchen,” shared Taylor Johnson, Resource Development & Outreach Director for United Way of Cullman County. “Everyone is entitled to reliable access to food and we hope this list will be a helpful resource for families in our schools and community. Please use these services if you need them and donate if you can. Together, we can make a difference.”
