The very first Skipper’s Adventure Tiki Mug has arrived at Disneyland Resort. We picked it up via mobile order at the Disneyland Hotel on August 8th.
We arrived to pick up our mug on the lawn next to the wedding pavilion at the Disneyland Hotel. There were several tables where guests could pick up their mugs.
There was also a fun Jungle Cruise-themed photo opportunity. Since there was no bar to hand out cups, we were unable to try the Skipper Sipper drink that is later offered along with the cup at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.
Skipper’s Adventure Tiki Mug – $75
Dubbed the “Ninth Wonder of the World,” this tiki mug is teal and cream colored, with “carvings” inspired by Jungle Cruise. The mug is limited to 5,000 pieces.
These carvings include elephants, hippos and other animals that can be seen in the attraction as well as on a jungle cruise boat.
Guests can purchase them today, August 8, via mobile ordering on the Disneyland app or tomorrow, August 9, along with the Skipper Sipper non-alcoholic beverage at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.
The price of the mug does not include the cost of the beverage offered at Trader Sam’s. The mug is both microwave and dishwasher safe.
The artist who designed the mug, Mookie Sato, was also on hand at the release today to sign for collectors.
