The City of Frisco will host the 48th Annual Run the Rockies Road 10K and Half Marathon on Saturday, September 21. The half marathon begins at 8 a.m., followed by the 10K race at 8:30 a.m.
Runners will start at Copper Mountain and follow the paved Summit County Recreational Pathway through Ten Mile Canyon and cross the finish line on Frisco’s Main Street. The 10K course is 100% downhill and the half marathon course is 75% downhill. The course will showcase Frisco’s beautiful fall colors.
Racers and all other users of the Tenmile/Vail Pass Recpath should expect, respect, and be aware of all users. Non-racers should expect heavy runner traffic until 11:30 a.m. September 21.
Online pre-registration closes at noon on September 19. If the event is not sold out, in-person registration will be available from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on September 20 and from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on race day at the Frisco Town Hall, located at 1 Main Street in Frisco.
All racers will receive a finisher’s memorabilia, post-race food and a post-race beer for racers 21 and older. Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers and the male and female age group winners.
