Rumours have it that the Gallagher brothers will reunite for a series of dates next year, including a headlining gig at Worthy Farm – and Liam Gallagher appears set to announce an update next week.

Reportedly estranged siblings Liam And Noel Gallagher have apparently settled their dispute and will reunite next summer for a series of gigs in London and Manchester, including the possibility of a headline slot at Glastonbury Festival.

An insider told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “All the speculation about this reunion can get a little tiring. But there is a real feeling that next summer’s Glastonbury will be too tempting for Liam and Noel to turn down.”

“They have been informed of the headline slot that is open to them next summer. Now it’s all up to them.”

“It looks more doable than it has in years.”

According to The Times, the Britpop legends are also rumored to be planning a huge series of ten dates at London’s Wembley Stadium – which would surpass Taylor Swift’s recent record of eight shows – as well as several homecoming gigs at Heaton Park in Manchester.

The newspaper also reports that an update could be released as early as today, Tuesday (August 27).

If this were to happen, it would be the first time that the Gallagher brothers would be back on stage since Noel left the band in 2009 shortly before their performance at “Rock en Seine”.

Liam, 51, and Noel, 57, have not yet officially commented on the rumors, but Liam seemed to be entertaining the performances during his headlining set at The Leeds Festival over the weekend.

He mused to the crowd: “It’s very interesting, isn’t it? We’re in a very interesting situation,” before starting with a rendition of Oasis’ Halfway around the world.

The Manchester rocker also took to his favourite social media platform on Sunday (25 August) to add fuel to the fire. On X (Twitter) he posted: “I’ve never liked the word FORMER.”

When one of his followers commented that Heaton Park was “a terrible concert venue,” the singer bluntly replied: “See you at the front, you fat asshole.”

When a fan asked about the status of a possible reunion and wrote: “When are the Oasis reunion dates?”, the Supersonic singer replied: “Next Friday.”

Whether the Some would say Whether the rocker was joking that the performances would take place later in the week or hinting that there would be an announcement on Friday, September 2nd remains to be seen…

If the Gallagher brothers ever get back together, founding member and rhythm guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs would definitely be willing to join them. He told Radio X at the end of last Christmas that he would have his picks ready.

“Realistically speaking? I don’t know,” said the guitarist and co-founder of the band. “Liam has his solo career. So does Noel. I don’t know, you’re asking the wrong person. But I would like to see it.”

He continued: “Some days you wake up and think, ‘No, that’s not necessary. That’s happened before.’ But when I’m on stage as a solo artist with Liam Gallagher and I come out and we play Rock ‘N’ Roll Star and the place erupts. People jump higher and harder than at some of the gigs back then.”

When asked if he would come to an Oasis reunion, the star replied: “See that bag down there? There are picks in there. I’m ready, I’ve got my dancing shoes.”

Meanwhile, speculation about a possible reunion continues in all areas of the entertainment world.

AEW wrestlers and rockers Chris Jericho recently told Radio X that he believes Oasis will reunite “sooner rather than later”.

In conversation with Toby Tarrant when he took over the moderation The Chris Moyles ShowThe professional wrestler said: “I think Oasis will get back together sooner rather than later.

“I think these guys Noel and Liam have figured it all out and know what they want to do. That’s my prediction.”

Jericho, the frontman of his own band Fozzycontinued: “I just said that every 10 years a band comes back together that you never thought would come back together. That was The Police in 2007. Huge worldwide thing. Guns N’ Roses in 2017. Huge worldwide thing.

“Oasis is next. 2025.”

But it’s exciting, it’s an exciting thought,” he added, “because as you said, this would be a global, world-shattering event.”

When Tarrant suggested the band could sell out Wembley Stadium “forever and every night,” the 53-year-old star added: “So Taylor Swift only did seven (eight) shows or something? Oasis could easily do 20.”
