Oswego County is offering free transportation to the New York State Fair this year.

Buses will be available this Saturday in Fulton at Cayuga Community College (CCC) and in Oswego at Oswego High School, and then in Central Square and Phoenix on August 31.

On August 24th, departure times from the CCC are 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:25 p.m., 4:25 p.m. and 6:25 p.m. The return trips start at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:25 p.m., 5:25 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. from the trade fair.

In addition, departure times from the school are 10:00 am, 12:30 pm, 3:25 pm and 5:55 pm and return times are 11:15 am, 1:45 pm, 4:40 pm and 7:55 pm.

On August 31, departure times from Central Square are 10:00 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:55 p.m., departure times from Phoenix are 10:40 a.m., 12:50 p.m., 3:25 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. and return trips leave the fair at 11:20 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4:05 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

All passengers will be dropped off and picked up at the Pink Lot across State Fair Boulevard near the Toyota Coliseum.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer free transportation to the New York State Fair this year,” said Heather Snow, Oswego County Director of Mobility Management. “Residents have expressed great interest in park-and-ride shuttles to the fair. Our Oswego County public transit buses provide an easy and convenient way to get to the fairgrounds, with multiple departure and return times.”

The fair lasts until Labor Day.
