Armand “Mondo” Duplantis was one of the viral stars of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, and he continues to shine long after the Games.

Duplantis broke his own pole world record on Saturday, less than a month after setting it in Paris.

The pole vaulter from Lafayette, Louisiana, represented Sweden at the Summer Games. In Paris, he catapulted into fame by winning gold in the men’s pole vault, setting a new world record in the process. Although he was already an Olympic champion, he cleared 6.25 meters to finish the event and had one of the best reactions to his historic performance.

That world record would last just 20 days. At the Silesia Diamond League event in Poland on Saturday, Duplantis cleared 6.26 meters, breaking his own record. And once again, his remarkable performance sparked a priceless reaction.

Of course, Duplantis took first place as he continues to dominate.

Duplantis has now broken the men’s pole vault record for the tenth time. He first set the record in February 2020 when he cleared 6.17 metres, and a year later he won gold at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
