Tovino Thomas, who grabbed national attention with his films ‘Minnal Murali’ and ‘2018 – Everyone Is A Hero’, is all set to wow audiences again with his latest offering ‘ARM’ – a pan-Indian fantasy film. Directed by debutant Jithin Lal and produced by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames and UGM Motion Pictures along with Dr. Zakaria Thomas. ‘ARM’ is being shot entirely in 3D and is considered to be one of the most technically sophisticated films in the history of Malayalam cinema.
The film has been generating a lot of excitement since its announcement and the release of each promotional material has only increased the anticipation. The newly unveiled trailer has further increased the excitement around the film. The trailer opens with a striking image of a fiery asteroid hitting the earth, causing a massive explosion and scattering celestial particles, accompanied by an old woman narrating the story of Maniyan. We then witness the violence that follows and the powerful entrance of our protagonist.
The 2 minute and 33 second trailer unfolds a story set in northern Kerala, spanning different timelines: 1900, 1950 and 1990. Tovino portrays three different characters – Maniyan, Kunjikkelu and Ajayan – all trying to protect a vital treasure of the country across different generations. Each frame of the trailer is carefully crafted, showcasing Kerala’s rich culture while also offering a glimpse into an epic saga. It is clear that ‘ARM’ promises to be a visual spectacle with a gripping story.
Tovino Thomas is making his 50th film and his commitment is evident in his portrayal of all three roles. He has undergone extensive training in Kalaripayattu to perform breathtaking action sequences that are likely to create a big sensation at the box office. The film features stunning visual effects by Jomon T. John and thrilling stunts coordinated by Vikram Moore and Phoenix Prabhu of Kantara fame.

The film will be distributed by major industry players with Hombale Films handling the Kannada release, Mythri Movie Makers Distributors in Telugu and Anil Thadani’s AA Films in Hindi to ensure a grand multi-language release.
ARM has a huge star cast including Kriti Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh and Surabhi Lakshmi in the female lead roles while prominent actors Basil Joseph, Jagadish, Harish Uttaman, Harish Peradi, Pramod Shetty and Rohini play key roles in the film.
