Machine Gun Kelly and fiancée Megan Fox just nailed another coordinated couple look.
For their appearance at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, the couple wore their best eye-catching black-tie outfits—Fox wore a daring David Koma dress with a thigh-high slit, built-in gloves, and rhinestone flowers on the shoulders (Fox) and a Dolce & Gabbana suit with a cropped blazer embellished with metal spikes, a long-sleeved top embroidered entirely with Swarovski crystals and DG logos, and studded boots (Kelly). But it was their matching manicures that stole the show.
“I feel great! I don’t have to do anything – I’ve done all my work. He still has to perform,” Fox told E! on the red carpet.
Kelly is nominated for Best Rock Artist. Of his upcoming performance, he told E!: “I’m honored that they’re letting us play a fan favorite instead of a single. So it’s an honor to showcase my art instead of what’s on the radio. I appreciate that.”

Kelly also added that for him tonight was all about celebrating his fiancée.
“It’s my fiancée’s birthday at midnight, so we’re celebrating her wonderful life here on planet Earth,” he said, while Fox interjected, “I’m boring, I don’t drink, but I’m sure he’ll be into me.”

For his big night at the Billboard Music Awards, Kelly, née Colson Baker, teamed up with Marrow Fine Jewelry founder Jillian Sassone and his manicurist, Nails of LA founder Brittney Boyce, to create a stunning manicure featuring more than 10 carats of diamonds totaling $30,000.
“Creating MGK’s diamond nails was a natural progression of the intersection of nail art and jewelry,” Sassone tells PEOPLE of the months-long conception of the look. “Brittney and I have worked together on several photo shoots and we have a lot in common, both in our work ethic and our artistry. I always feel energized after brainstorming sessions with her because we push each other on what’s possible in jewelry and nail art.”

The glittery tips were created using the base color Depressionist from Kelly’s own nail polish brand UN/DN LAQR, along with gunmetal transfer foil and the pièce de résistance – 10 carats of tiny diamonds ranging in size from 0.8 to 2.4 mm. The eye-catching pre-designed nails took 10 hours to create and were applied to Kelly on Sunday between rehearsal for his performance and his red carpet appearance.
“I love the juxtaposition of the traditionally set white diamonds with the bright black diamonds set point-up,” says Sassone.

According to Sassone, after the awards ceremony, the diamonds will be made into a collection of limited edition charity rings that will be available for sale at marrowfine.com.
“Brittney will wash the diamonds off her nails after the Billboard Awards and I will use the stones to create 10 pieces for charity,” she says. “The collection will be a mix of diamond-encrusted signet rings and cigar rings for men and women, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity.”

Although Fox had her nails covered thanks to the fancy gloves on her dress, she made sure to match her husband.
The couple works closely with Boyce on their extravagant nail art looks — including their chrome engagement nails. In December, she created her viral “Chain Connection” manicure, which she wore to Kelly’s launch event for his debut nail polish line, UN/DN LAQR. While they were literally chained together by the nail art, they also continued to dress coordinated: Both wore black suits (shirtless and glittery for Kelly, 31, and a Givenchy tuxedo dress for Fox, 35) with their matching pink manicures.

Kelly opted for a Barbie doll’s pink shade, while Fox went for claw-shaped nails with black trim, and both accentuated their pinky with a chain linked to the other’s pinky.

The couple, who got engaged last July, place great importance on coordinating all aspects of their style.
“We don’t go if our outfits don’t match,” Fox said People (the TV show!) in July 2021, adding that she often takes inspiration from Kelly’s outfits.
“I wait until he gets dressed because he dresses pretty damn extravagantly – even if he’s just getting a smoothie, he looks like he came off a Liberace stage,” he said. “Then I try to put on something that doesn’t clash with what he’s wearing.”

Fox has nothing but love and admiration for Kelly’s sense of style. “His fashion sense is very strong. He has great style. He always looks super unique and unusual,” she previously told PEOPLE.
“But he has the perfect body for it,” she continued. “He’s so tall and has a model’s body, so he can wear anything and it looks really good.”
The Billboard Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. EST on NBC and Peacock.
