Live, laugh, eat well: Love Life Cafe and Carrot Express serve healthy food during National Wellness Month – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

Listen up, folks. The summer for brats, hot girls, and clean girls is coming to an end, but it doesn’t have to end. With a little self-love, it always could. Deco stopped by a few healthy spots here in SoFlo in honor of National Wellness Month.

It’s never too late to make health a priority, from building muscle to taking care of your skin. But wellness is also about nutrition, and that’s why we’re trying Love Life Cafe.

Veronica Menin: “Love Life Cafe is a plant-based restaurant that has been in Wynwood since 2015, when we opened. We originally started as a wellness center.”

And with self-care comes pride.

Veronica Menin: “The cafe was really designed as part of the wellness center so that people consider this very important factor, which is what they eat. We have amazing plant-based sushi, ramen, sourdough pizza. We have a plant-based filet mignon, and you wouldn’t even believe it’s not a real filet mignon.”

Sounds like good food and the guests definitely agree.

Hortensia Aguirre: “Oh, the food here is just majestic. It is a unique vegan restaurant where you can eat quality food.”

But Love Life Cafe isn’t the only place to fall in love with nutritious food. South Florida-based Carrot Express shows us what’s new!

Pablo Maes: “We are proud of our very extensive menu, which has been really thought out and put together and is based on healthy ingredients. That’s one of the reasons why everyone should come by – not just this month, but I would say every other day. Why not?”

Now tell me: Which dishes give me the glow of a green goddess?

Pablo Maes: “We have our Teeka salad, the Green Goddess salad. We have a few wraps and a selection of smoothies. All of our smoothies are made with fresh ingredients, fresh fruit and of course protein powders or powder boosters.”

And with every bite you make progress.

Pablo Maes: “Wellness or achieving wellness is not a destination. It is a journey and you must take it at your own pace to become a healthier person.”
