Daniel Radcliffe is now a father after his girlfriend Erin Darke gave birth to their first child.

The 33-year-old actor, who originally rose to fame as a child star playing the title character in the “Harry Potter” films, has been dating 38-year-old US actress Darke for more than a decade. The two met in 2012 while working together on the drama “Kill Your Darlings”.

Radcliffe appeared to be comfortable in his new role and was photographed on Monday pushing a navy blue stroller with his better half and enjoying a stroll in New York.

In pictures obtained by MailOnline, Radcliffe kept a low profile, wearing a baseball cap and covering his face with a cloth mask.

New mother Darke, who previously appeared in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, opted for a black T-shirt and light-wash jeans with a green corduroy coat.

She rounded off her look with bright orange boots and a yellow belt bag.

There was no way to catch a glimpse of the newborn as the stroller was covered with a large muslin cloth that protected his face.

A spokesman for Radcliffe initially confirmed that the couple was expecting a child in March.

A source told The Mirror: “Daniel and Erin couldn’t be happier to be expecting a baby. They are absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to become a family of three.”

“They only recently told their families and friends. It’s an incredibly exciting time.”
