Harry Clark could appear in this year’s edition of “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”
The 23-year-old reality star quit his job as an army engineer after winning the latest series of the BBC’s hit show The Traitors and is said to have been approached by bosses at rival broadcaster ITV, who are keen to include him in the jungle reality survival show when it returns to screens later this year.
A source told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “The Traitors was a huge success this year and since they left the finalists have barely had their feet on the ground. They were all overwhelmed and as the winner, Harry was at the centre of the whirlwind.
“Since winning, he has been approached by casting directors at ITV who want him in the jungle this year. He would be a great catch for them and he is seriously considering saying yes – it really would be an incredible opportunity.”
Harry beat 20 other contestants in the intense mind game, all vying to win up to £100,000 at the famous castle. When his co-star Mollie Pearce mistakenly thought he was a believer and hoped the two would split the money, he revealed he had been a traitor all along, meaning he went home with all the prize money.
Harry was congratulated by presenter Claudia Winkleman and vowed to somehow win back Mollie’s trust.
He said: “My legs are shaking, oh my God! I’ve just won £95,000! She’s crying and everything. Mollie is the reason I’m here and I need to win back her trust. I don’t know if that will ever be possible but I’ll try my best, I promise you!”
Harry toasted his victory with the Strictly Come Dancing judge over a glass of champagne and used his final confession on the show to reassure viewers that despite his status as a traitor, he was actually a “good person” motivated by his family.
“My family knows I’m a good person. So to everyone else, if you don’t think I’m a good person, I promise you I am! I came here because of my family and my loved ones. They are my motivation and the reason I live here. I can’t wait to call them and tell them. I feel like I can breathe, I’m just myself again.”
“I’m Harry again.”
