BRAINERD – There was plenty of family fun to be had Thursday, August 15, at Gregory Park at the annual Brainerd Night Out.
The event celebrates community, safety and police-public relations in North Brainerd and throughout the city. It includes activities for children, food, information about community safety nonprofits and a strong presence of law enforcement officers from the Brainerd Police and Fire Departments and the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office. Spot, the sheriff’s department’s Boston Dynamic Robot Dog assigned to assist the county’s bomb disposal squad, even stole the show from Baxter K-9 Shuri.
Bruce Archer’s music filled the air, as did the smell of hot dogs and the laughter and excitement of participants of all ages.
